Just relaxing naturally should be one of your main goals when staying at River Bluff Cabins on the Frio River, but there’s plenty to do in and around this fabulous part of Texas.
One of the activities that we haven’t touch on enough is the bird watching paradise that exists here and around this part of the Texas Hill Country. No amount of words are going to adequately described the beauty, elegance and uniqueness of all the different types of birds in the area, but we’ll try to give you a quick overall idea.
Bottom line is this – you need to book a visit ASAP and come see for yourself! You won’t believe your eyes.
You can walk along a variety of paths and see an array of Hummingbirds, Mockingbirds, Cardinals, Goldfinches, Blue Jays, Blue Birds, Doves, Tree Swallows, Roadrunners and a litany of others in the majestic Cypress and Oak trees. In addition, there are a variety of butterflies and other wildlife bounding around, but that’s for another blog.
There’s also a good chance you can find the most unusual birds here at certain times, like the Painted Bunting and the Golden-Cheeked Warbler. River Bluff Cabins is a bird watchers’ paradise and let’s just say you can see everything here from a Carolina Chickadee to a Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher.
So don’t wait to book your next stay because the Fall is always spectacular at River Bluff Cabins.
Here’s what our friend ‘Texas Fat Boy’ said:
“Very nice – 5 of 5 stars. This is a very nice place to stay. The cabins are very nice and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the surrounding area is awesome. The folks running the establishment are super friendly. Definitely would stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.”
