Float the Frio
The Frio is 47 miles of secluded beauty that winds through the heart of the Texas Hill Country. High limestone bluffs, boulders, and enormous cypress trees surround the clear, clean, spring-fed river: the temperatures and the flow of the river change throughout the year. With temperatures usually around 68 degrees, it will keep you cool in the summer. You will also enjoy small rapids and falls. Classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater, you will surely find the Frio not only a relaxing but adventurous experience.
If you’re planning to tube the Frio, you’ve found the perfect place to stay. At River Bluff, our cabins and lodges reside on or seconds from the Frio River.
